The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Plattsmouth Blue Devils 71-46 on Thursday night in Plattsmouth, in Trailblazer Conference action.

The Blue Devils came out with a hot hand. They hit six of their first seven shots, all from three point range, to take an early 18-7 lead midway through the first quarter. Baskets from Kamron Kasischke, a three point play from Garrett Grandgenett and two free throws from Owen Hancock, cut the lead to 18-14 after one quarter.

Wahoo took their first lead of the game at 24-22 on a Marcus Glock bucket. Wahoo went to the half with a 33-31 lead.

The Warriors broke the game open in the third quarter. Baskets from Myles Simon, Owen Hancock and a trey from Anthony Simon put Wahoo up 40-31 early in the third. The Warriors would outscore the Blue Devils 22-4 in the third quarter to go up 55-35 after three quarters.

Owen Hancock led the Warriors with 18 points on 6-8 shooting from the field, along with 8 boards. Marcus Glock had 16 points on 3-5 shooting from three point range and 4 assists. Garrett Grandgenett had 9 points on 4-5 shooting from the field to go with 8 boards and 4 assists. Benji Nelson added 8 points and 5 boards. Anthony Simon had 6 boards and 5 assists. Myles Simon added 5 assists.

Wahoo outrebounded Plattsmouth 36-25. Wahoo was 9-20 (45%) from three point range and had 23 assists on 27 field goals. The Warriors held Plattsmouth to 15-48 (31.3%) shooting from the field.

Wahoo improves to 19-2 and will host Norris on Senior night next Friday night in their final regular season game. Plattsmouth drops to 7-13.
