The Wahoo Warriors used a big second quarter to defeat the #3 ranked Ashland-Bluejays 54-32 on Thursday night in Wahoo in the Sub-District Finals.

The game was tied at 10 when Kamron Kasischke hit a half court shot at the first quarter buzzer to put Wahoo up 13-10.

Another Kamron Kasischke trey to open the second quarter put Wahoo up 16-10. A third Kasischke trey made it 19-12. Two Marcus Glock free throws, and back to back Trey Simon buckets made it 25-12. Another Kamron Kasischke bucket increased the lead to 27-12. An Owen Hancock bucket and a Kamron Kasischke lay up made it 31-14 to end the half.

The scoring was even in the third quarter at 7 a piece to make it 38-21 heading into the fourth quarter. The Warrior lead would grow to 24 at 54-30, before ending with the 54-32 win.

Kamron Kasischke led the Warriors with 15 points on 3-4 shooting from behind the arc, to go with 5 boards. Trey Simon had 10 points on 4-5 shooting from the field. Anthony Simon had a game high 8 boards. Benji Nelson and Marcus Glock both had a game high 4 assists.

Wahoo was 20-38 (52.6%) from the field while Ashland-Greenwood was 13-38 (34.2%). The Warriors outrebounded the Bluejays 28-17.

Wahoo is now 23-1 and advances to the District Final to face St. Paul. Ashland-Greenwood drops to 23-2, and will advance to a District Final as well
