From 1988 to 1998, Wahoo played in the State Championship game eight times and each time came away with the title. The Warriors also made the state tournament the year prior to the first championship, losing to Fremont Bergan in the semifinals. In 1992, Wahoo lost to Ogallala in the semifinals; in 1995 to Fairbury in the first round. In the eleven years of "The Glory Days," Wahoo qualified for the state tournament ten times by claiming ten district titles. In 2000, Wahoo returned to the tournament, losing to Pierce in the semifinals. Wahoo was once again in the tournament in 2007, losing to Ashland in the first round.
