Wahoo downed conference opponent Ashland 86 - 43 in typical fashion as the Warriors used their full court press to open an early lead. Travis Toline led the way with 12 first quarter points. Greg Hain took over in the second period with 14 points and Wahoo was up by 31 at half time. The production of Hain, who finished with 32 points, and Toline, who scored 19 for the game, was much needed as two of Wahoo’s other offensive weapons were sidelined. The usually prolific scorer, Mike Hancock, had what Coach Anderson called “an off night shooting” and Mike Simons was on the bench a great deal of the game with foul trouble. Hancock still managed to reach double figures with 11 points. The Warriors had one of their poorest three point shooting nights, netting just 4 of 22, with subs Eric Eddie and Chris Anderson each contributing one in the fourth quarter. But the Wahoo defense still forced 25 Blue Jay turnovers.
