Elkhorn made it look like a game in the first three and a half minutes, but then Wahoo went on a 20 point run and Wahoo led by 22 at half, as Wahoo advanced to the B1 District final with a 90 - 48 victory over the Antlers. A 26 point barrage led by Greg Hain’s 11 put the game away in the third period. In spite of the easy win, Coach Anderson described his team’s play as “anything but sharp,” blaming that in part due to the nine day lay-off the Warriors had as a result of drawing a rare first round bye in the district tournament. Wahoo had four players in double figures, led by Hain’s 29. Mike Hancock scored 20, while Travis Toline had 15 and Mike Simons posted 14 points. Coach Anderson summed up his team’s effort in the 42 point win: “I wasn’t pleased with the game in some aspects, but what the heck.”
