While the "Glory Days" is the story of the decade from 1988 to 1998, this is not to imply that Wahoo basketball since 1998 is somehow second rate. Wahoo basketball has continued as a successful program both under Coach Watton and Coach Scheef. A Watton coached team made the State Tournament in 2000 and Coach Scheef took the team to state 13 times (2000, 2007, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017,2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024). Under Coach Scheef, Wahoo has won three additional state titles (2013, 2018 and 2024). Coach Mike Bowmar took Wahoo to state in 2026. The Warriors have had a winning season every year since 1986.
