Wahoo claimed a ticket to the State Tournament with a 69 - 46 win over 7th ranked Gretna in the B-2 District Championship game. The Warriors employed multiple defenses to stymie the Dragons, one being a box-and-one on Gretna’s leading scorer, Doug Spurgeon who was limited to 12 points. With Dan Bartek in early foul trouble, freshman Jason Glock entered the Wahoo lineup in the second quarter and proceeded to lead Wahoo scoring with 19 points. The center position accounted for 31 of the Wahoo points as Bartek also scored 12. Troy Glock and Steve Carmer contributed 14 each to the winning cause.
