vs. Logan View

12/8/1989 vs. Logan View NONCONFERENCE game HOME REGULAR SEASON

Season Game #: 2 / Streak Game #: 40 / Current Record:

WAHOO: 25 ... 24 ... 26 ... 29 -- 104
Logan View: 12 ... 12 ... 8 ... 20 -- 52

The Warriors topped the century mark for the first time in the ‘89-’90 season, setting a new school record with a 104 - 52 trouncing of the visiting Raiders. The home team called off the press at the start of the second half, but even in a half court defense, continued to completely stifle the Logan View offense. Wahoo had suited up 14 players for the game and after the top 8 had done their damage in the first three quarters to produce a 75 - 32 lead, the remaining 6 (including 3 freshmen) played the fourth quarter. The reserves didn’t let up and freshman, Justin Anderson poured in 7 points in the final stanza to push Wahoo over 100. The only deficiency for the Warriors was continued poor 3 - point shooting. But Coach Anderson commented that the players would have to work their way out of that -- “Shooters need to shoot to work out of a slump.” Leading scorer Jason Glock (24) was joined by Randy Hoffman (18) and Ryan Eddie (11) in double figures.
