Having been defeated soundly by Wahoo a few weeks earlier, Syracuse came out in the first quarter and kept up with the Warriors, trailing only 19 - 26 when the quarter ended. That would be the most (19) points scored by any team in the first quarter all season. But it wasn’t enough. For Wahoo, Jason Glock was enough as the junior scored 36 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked 4 shots. Scott Latham made a significant contribution when starter Steve Volin went to the bench with three fouls witha minute and a half left in the first quarter. Latham grabbed 6 re bounds and scored 4 points as the Warriors built a 19 point lead. Ryan Eddie contributed 18 and Randy 15 points to the winnig effort. With all reserves in at the end of the game, Wahoo extended the lead to 41 points. Coach Anderson said of Glock’s performance: “Jason Glock probably had as fine a game as you could expect our of a high school player.”
