Coach Scheef: “It was a very, very tough game to lose. The kids worked so hard, and left it all on the floor, but GICC just made one more play than we did. We put ourselves in great position by getting a 9 point lead early in the fourth, but GICC is undefeated for a reason. They did not panic, and just kept knocking down 3 points shots. Turner Fahey is a great player, and we just could not get him slowed down in the second half. It was a great game, and a game that will help us for the stretch run.”
Max Cook led the Warriors with 18 points. Greg Milliken added 15 points, 9 boards, and 4 assists. Josh Discher added 8 points and 11 boards. Turner Fahey led GICC with 28 points.
Wahoo drops to 13-5 and will travel to Columbus Scotus on Tuesday. GICC raises their record to 20-0.
