Norris: 19 ... 22 ... 26 ... 16 .... 83

Wahoo dropped its second game of the season, losing to the visiting #2 Class B ranked Norris Titans 83 – 69.  The Warriors stayed with the visitors for the first half, but a big third quarter decided the game for Norris.  Ahead by six at the half, Norris scored the first six points and outscored Wahoo 26 - 14 in the third period.  Most of the damage was done inside as twelve of Norris’s third quarter points came in the paint.  Norris built their lead to twenty points but a Dylan Simons layup at the buzzer cut the Norris advantage to 67-49.

The first half was a battle of three-point shooting.  Norris opened the game with two three-point goals and connected on seven in the first half, five coming from senior guard, Barret Boesiger.  Wahoo matched that with seven of their own, four from Kaden Christen.  The three-point shooting fell off in the second half.  Wahoo ended with 9-of-24 (38%) while Norris connected on 8-of-17 (47%).  Norris’s domination inside was reflected by their 25 – 15 rebound advantage.

Jace Kaminski scored nine fourth quarter points as Wahoo tried to narrow the gap.  Landon Fye scored on a runner with under two minutes to cut the Norris lead to 80-67.  With 1:47 remaining Dylan Simons netted two free throws, but 81-69 was as close as the Warriors would come.  Christen led the Warriors with 15 points while Cody Hesser (14) and Kaminski (13) also reached double figures.
