KAMINSKI’S 31 LEADS WAHOO TO WIN

2/20/2026 vs. Malcolm ... CONFERENCE / Home / REGULAR SEASON /

Season Game #: 22 / Current Record: 18 - 4

WAHOO: 5 ... 19 ... 23 ... 20 .... 67
Malcolm: 10 ... 4 ... 14 ... 17 .... 45

In his final regular season game for Wahoo, Jase Kaminski joined the Warrior 30+ point club as he poured in 31 points and Wahoo defeated Trailblazer Conference rival Malcolm, 67 – 45. The win put Wahoo’s record at 18 – 4, the 41st consecutive year the Warriors have finished with a winning record. The Warriors finished 6 – 1 in regular season conference play for second place. Malcolm dropped to 11-10.

All of Kaminski’s points came in the second half. The senior guard missed a three-pointer in the first quarter and then another early in the third period. Then he sank his next nine, going 9/11, an 82% clip. Kaminski was 3-of-3 on free throws and 2-of-3 on two-point field goals. With Wahoo leading 34-25 at the 2:46 mark in the third period, Kaminski scored the next nine points to effectively seal the win with a 43 -25 lead.

In the first quarter it didn’t appear Wahoo would have such an easy victory. Wahoo committed five turnovers and the Clippers connected on two treys to outscore Wahoo 10 – 5. But Landon Glock came alive for Wahoo in the second stanza, draining two three’s and scoring all 11 of his game points in the period. Malcolm’s Gavin Little drove to the basket at the midway point in the period to put the Clippers up 14 – 11. Wahoo then went on 13 point run, punctuated by a Cody Hesser jump shot at the buzzer and Wahoo had a 24 – 14 lead at the half.

Malcolm made a run at the Warriors in the third period as the Clippers scored the first 4 points of the quarter to cut the Wahoo lead to 6. But then Kaminski hit his first three and Malcolm wouldn’t get any closer. Hesser finished the quarter dunking the ball with 2 seconds left on the clock and Wahoo led 47 – 28.

Malcolm couldn’t gain on the Warriors in the fourth. The Clippers did net a couple of three’s, but they were more than answered by Kaminski’s continued barrage – four three’s in the period. Malcolm got no closer than 16 points.

Hesser pulled down 14 rebounds for the game and was in double figure scoring with 13. Preston Kucera and Miles McGill were the leading scorers for Malcolm with 11 each. Kaminski became the 36th Warrior to score 30 or more in a game.
