There were 34 players in the Wahoo 30-Point Club going into the 2026 season. Thursday night Cody Hesser made it 35 with a 31 point performance that helped Wahoo to a 70 – 33 win over Plattsmouth. The victory qualified Wahoo for the Trailblazer Conference Tournament championship game. It’s the sixth year for the conference and Wahoo has been in the finals every year, winning three.
Hesser’s performance was impressive as the senior scored consistently and in a variety of ways. His score by quarters was 8-7-8-8. He scored on drives to the basket, off of steals in transition, on offensive putbacks and from beyond the arc. He was 4 of 5 from the three point line and a perfect 3 of 3 from the free throw line. He also led the team in rebounding with 10.
The Wahoo attack wasn’t just Hesser. Landon Glock contributed 14 points, netting three treys for the game. The Warriors distributed the ball well, recording 19 assists, 9 coming from senior point guard, Jake Kaminski. Eight Warriors scored in the game. The Blue Devils relied on two players. Traceson Skalberg racked up 13 first half points, the only points Plattsmouth scored; he would finish with 15. Nathan Frederick took over in the second half, scoring all 10 of his points. Plattsmouth was held to 23% field goal shooting and 13% from three-point range.
Plattsmouth got off to a good start, scoring the first four points of the game. But the Warriors then out-scored the Blue Devils 16 – 1 to close out the quarter. Wahoo didn’t let up in the second period and the lead stretched to 21 on a Hesser three at the 3:10 mark. Wahoo built on its 32-13 lead in the third period. Glock connected on his second three of the quarter for a 48 – 15 lead with 2:25 to go in the period. The onslaught continued in the final stanza and Joel Simon sank a 3-pointer to give the Warriors their biggest lead of the game at 77-30.
The win was Wahoo’s 11th in a row, putting the season record at 14 – 3. Plattsmouth dropped to 10-5.
